Building A Bird House

is very easy and fun.
It is an activity you can help your children with, or you can have them build one for a mothers day present.
Simply gather 6 pieces of wood for your bird house. 4 for the sides and 2 for the top and bottom.
You can find pieces of wood at the dump or laying around.Nail them together using the short skinny nails- as not to hurt your new friends the birds.
You can paint it, but in my experience the birds prefer the house to be kept as natural as you can.
You want it to be as close to a tree or a fallen log, so the wild birds won't reject it.
Next, drill a whole the size of a silver dollar.
No bigger then that, then squirrels or other small animals can brake into the new bird house.
Hang it as high up in a tree or onto the side of your house as you can, so cats can't get to it.
Wait about 2 weeks to 2 months for them to find it.
